Personal information collected

We may gather personal information from you in several ways. You will be asked to provide personal information if you are interested in (a) Signing up to receive topical materials through our Resource Center, mailers and newsletters; (b) Serving as an investigator in a clinical trial—if you submit your name as a potential investigator, we will send you a questionnaire to complete about your qualifications, experience, your practice and your site; (c) Participating in a study as a study subject; (d) An employment opportunity at PRA. An application made by you will require your resume or curriculum vitae to be submitted; or (e) Using a “Contact us” form to request assistance with your enquiry. The type of personal information requested from you will be based on your area of interest and may include any or all of the following: your name, email address, business title, company name, address and contact numbers.

How we use personal information

When you request materials from our Resource Center, your contact details are put into a database and used for a follow-up call regarding your preferences and interest in further materials, receipt of mailers and newsletters about PRA’s compatible areas of work. This personal information will be made available to PRA employees to the extent necessary to respond to your request. When you submit information to PRA as a potential investigator, the information—including personal information—will be processed and held on a database. We may share this information with client sponsors of clinical studies during the process of selecting investigators for planned research. When you submit an employment application, this will be passed to an external website host, which acts as a recruiter interface for PRA. The host maintains a secure website, and access to the personal information is restricted to those employees within PRA who are involved in the recruitment process for the position. Due to the global nature of PRA, processing and storage of personal information is conducted in centralized locations which may not be your own country. PRA will securely transfer your personal information to its servers, including those in the USA, by the most appropriate method for data transfers. This includes having in place agreements using the EU Model Clauses of the European Commission. PRA is a certified Safe Harbor company and adheres to the Safe Harbor Principles for the protection of personal information. PRA complies with the US-EU Safe Harbor and the US-Swiss Safe Harbor Frameworks. For more information about Safe Harbor, visit the US Department of Commerce website http://export.gov/safeharbor/.

You may unsubscribe from communications received by you at any time. You may make a written request for a copy of the personal information held about you. You may request that it be updated, corrected or blocked from further processing.
